Our History

what1.jpg
Casaboa estate, located in Runa, 40 Km to the west of Lisboa, has been owned by three generations of the Ferreira dos Santos family, and dedicated to the production and bottling of wine.

Dedication and enthusiasm of a young and multifarious team, responsible for management, marketing, viticulture and oenology have been a strong contribute to make Casaboa wines renowned for their quality, innovation and class, both nationally and internationally.
Originally from the 18th century, Casaboa estate, with an area of 120 hectares, was purchased in 1958 by João Ferreira dos Santos, a Mozambique entrepreneur.

His free time was usually spent on the quiet surroundings of the estate, between relaxing walks on the beautiful gardens and the winery business that he followed with pleasure
